Higasayama

(From Mount Higasa) VARIEGATED Spring buds emerge pale cream from long Chinese lacquer red leaf sheaths and unfold green edged cream outlined hot pink. This show is followed by variegated cream and green that blends though the summer to a good green. Fall colors are orange and gold. When grown in containers it is easily kept small and foliage becomes very tiny and dense.
