VANCOUVER RHODODENDRON SOCIETY
The Vancouver Rhododendron Society is a chapter of the American Rhododendron Society. Meetings held 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM, Van Dusen Garden Floral Hall
Doors open at 7:00, meeting at 7:30 at the Van Dusen Floral Hall..
Have a happy summer everyone. The first meeting in the Fall will be posted here as the schedule becomes available. In the mean time, enjoy those late blooming Rhododendrons. If you don't have any it's time you had some. My big white fragrant R.diaprepes is just blooming now as are several others including R. sanguineum dydimum (darkblack-red when in bud). Most late bloomers are species and can be sourced from propogaters that sell to club members.

It is a wonderful time in the garden right now. This is a picture of two Magnolias, a cherry and a flowering plum in my garden.

Here is a lovely dwarf form of R. pseudochrysanthum 'Briggs Dwarf' with plant tag for size - about the size of a large fist!
